2021 is now upon us and although we are looking ahead at this year with hope, we are going to be enjoying the comfort of our homes for a while longer… meaning this is the perfect time to treat yourself to that hot tub you have always dreamed of.
There are a few things you’ll need to take into consideration when looking for the perfect spa, so read on for a little guide on how to enter 2021 with your dream hot tub!
Hot Tub Size
Size is a key factor to consider, you’ll need to think about how many people you would like to soak at a time, rather than how many are in your household. You will also need to think about the area where your tub will reside to decide which measurements you have to play with.
What Do You Want to Use Your Hot Tub For?
Some people may think a hot tub is just for a leisurely soak, but they actually do much more. Here are some examples:
Exercise – our offering of large hot tubs and Swimspas provides opportunity for a range of aquatic exercises. We also offer accessories such as aquatic exercise bikes and fitness kits too for the cherry on top of the cake!
Hydrotherapy/rehabilitation – yes, hot tubs can have their health benefits too. Hydrotherapy can reduce muscle tension, rehabilitate muscles and boost the immune system. It also helps to detoxify and de-stress.
Social – of course hot tubs are fantastically social, often being the focal point of many parties and get-togethers. They can provide lots of family fun and a great bonding experience without the presence of phones, TV’s & tablets to distract you.
Of course the price is one of the most important aspects. You need to think about your budget. Here’s what you can expect…
- Budget range hot tubs are priced around £2995-£4995
- High-Quality hot tubs can cost around £5k-£8k for brands such as Vita Spa. Or even higher-end is Marquis spas which can range from £8k-£15k
- Swimspas range from £10k-£27k for a high quality product
We can personally recommend American made spas due to their higher-quality build, reliability and durability.
Additionally we are pleased to offer a range of finance packages available, allowing you to spread the cost. It is 0% finance on most high value products we sell (if you want to arrange finance, please call us on 01522 300737!)
Hot Tub Type
Once you have decided on size, use and cost, you’ll want to look at the different types of tubs we stock.
Top of the Range Spas – these spas offer the ultimate luxury hot tub experience and are suitable for someone with a larger budget. They can often be considered the most impressive of all the tubs with excellent technology, think of them as the Rolls Royce of spas.
Energy Efficient Spas – these offer all the fun of a hot tub whilst saving money in the long term due to lower operating costs. This makes them an excellent choice if you’re planning on using your tub on a regular basis.
Second Hand and Reconditioned – if you have a smaller budget, or just want to try out the hot tub experience without the fear of wasting money, then a pre-owned spa could be the ideal option. They are usually sourced from satisfied customers who have gone on to upgrade to a bigger tub. Most of these reconditioned tubs even come with a limited warranty, which is unusual to find.
Part Exchange – so you already have a hot tub, but maybe you want to upgrade it to your DREAM tub. We can part exchange your old one, helping you save some money.
Want to ‘try-before-you-buy’? We even provide hot tub hire, where we deliver, install and set up the spa for you (plus, you’ll receive a full refund if you decide to buy a spa from us after!)
By now, you should have chosen your dream spa and you may be wondering how you’re going to get it into your garden. We only advise using ‘kerbside delivery’ if you are receiving a small, portable spa. Any larger hot tubs we recommend ensuring that it is delivered and installed by a professional company (make sure to choose this option at the checkout).
Now that you know all the key things to consider when buying your ‘dream spa’ hopefully you’re well on your way.
