HSG282 is the Health and Safety Guidance around running a Hot Tub in a business setting.
What is the difference between Hot Tub in a business setting and in a commercial setting?
A business setting is where you have one family group using the Hot Tub for a set period of time. A commercial setting is where multiple groups use the Hot Tub at the same time such as a leisure centre.
Do I need to get my water tested?
Yes, as part of HSG282 you need to get your water tested in a lab. Microbiological testing must be done monthly, and legionella testing must be done quarterly.
How often do I need to change my water?
If the water in a Hot Tub is being used in a business setting it must be changed between every set of guests or every week, whichever is sooner.
