It captures large and finer contaminants early helping to prolong the life of your main cartridge filter and maintain crystal-clear water. It’s easy to install and an effective way to have cleaner water and more efficient filtration. I can also make your main filter easier to clean as no larger debris able to get into, and stuck in the main filter pleats.

Just like the main filter, it is recommended that the American Whirlpool First Filter is cleaned weekly. The pre-filter typically lasts 3 months of normal use.
